Undeserving Faith (Daniel 4)

After witnessing God save Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, king Neb begins to acknowledge the power and care of God. Daniel 4 shows how God can crack through a hard and prideful heart like king Nebuchadnezzar and give him faith that led him to proclaim this confession:

“Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just, and He is able to humble those who walk in pride.” (Daniel 4:37)

Those with genuine faith are humbled by God and realize their great need for a Savior. True faith leads sinners to recognize who they truly are and who God is truly. We are totally underserving of the grace the Lord gives us, so all we can do is respond in praise and thanksgiving!
